Here's something of what I'd say.

Firstly, I am very protective.
Very loyal.
I care a lot about my friends
And I think they know it
But I try to do it in such a way that
They don't notice... and I think I do it too well.
So I try to make them happy
And ignore my own feelings
Far too often.

I have a cutesy side
But usually I put it on for show
It's a shield for my true thoughts
I'm a really good actor.
Usually I only act like that
Around people who don't know me
Very well
But in the case of somebody special,
It is me, and only me, and it is what I feel.

It's nearly midnight
The knife is tempting

A cruel smile
Mocking my insanity

I want to laugh
But there's nothing there to be happy
